FENSA Installation of the Year Award 2024!
We are thrilled to announce that Concept Glazing, a small, family-run business based in Bournemouth, has been awarded the FENSA Installation of the Year Award 2024! Out of more than 550,000 installations across the UK, our Timberlook flush sash windows, and Comp door stable door helped complet the project for a historic thatched cottage was selected as the winner.
The award was presented at the prestigious 2024 G Awards, held at the London Hilton, Park Lane – a night dedicated to celebrating the best in the glass and glazing industry.
Jake Connolly, Director at Concept Glazing, shared his pride in the achievement:
"Winning this award was completely unexpected, and we’re so happy that the hard work and passion we put into our company are being recognised! From the beginning, we’ve been driven by creativity, aiming to add real character to people’s homes while ensuring functionality and modern efficiency."
The installation featured black frames with white flush sashes, astragal bars, woodgrain finishes, and forged monkey tail handles, all blended seamlessly into the cottage's traditional charm. Even the finishing touches, like using traditional lime render, were thoughtfully executed to retain the home’s character while enhancing its efficiency.

FENSA’s Lis Clarke highlighted the exceptional homeowner feedback and technical skill demonstrated during the project:

Assessor Paul Dewey also praised the project, noting:
"The installation looked as flawless today as when it was first inspected. The craftsmanship and care taken to ensure the homeowner’s happiness were remarkable – I’ve never seen better workmanship in all my years of inspecting."
